Extruded T-Slot 80 mm Fan Mount

Extruded T-Slot 80 mm Fan Mount

This is for my Printer Chamber Project, but could apply to other homemade systems. It allows 80 mm fans to be attached to aluminum T-Slots in a nicely adjustable way. (http://davidkessner.wordpress.com/2013/08/28/3-d-printer-chamber/) Solidworks files are included for download. The pictures are a little misleading-- the fan can swivel all around without hitting the T-Slots. Instructions Print the base, guard, and bracket with 0.1 mm layers, 100% infill, and 0 extra shells. The tower can be printed with 25% infill, 0.2 mm layers, and 3 extra shells. After printing, remove the mouse ears and file the rough edges smooth. Once assembled and installed, the fan is adjusted by loosening the screws, sliding/rotating it into position, and re-tightening the screws. I used this T-Slot hardware: http://amzn.com/B001F0K4KA, http://amzn.com/B006YVZSBK. You will also need 0.25 inch diameter x 0.5 inch long hex bolts and matching washers to attach to the t-slots. And 0.25 inch diameter flathead bolts (machine screws) in 1.5 inch and 0.75 inch lengths, with matching hex nut, will be a good idea two.
