Extruder Estep Calibration Jig 100 mm

Extruder Estep Calibration Jig 100 mm

I finally figured out how to use some CAD software so I wanted to give back to the community and make some things that I needed when I was new to the hobby. This is a simple jig that will allow you to measure EXACTLY 100 mm of filament so you can calibrate your esteps on your extruder. No more trying to hold up a ruler to your roll and all that misery. All you need is your filament, a sharpie marker and this jig. The distance between the two pillars is exactly 100.0 mm on the inside. Slide your filament through the hole and mark it with your sharpie (again, on the inside of the pillars) and then feed it into your extruder. When you have the filament loaded up to the first marking, start your extrusion test and when its done, measure what you have left. From there you can crunch some numbers (there's lots of guides online) and dial your extruder in so its PERFECT!!
