Extruder Gear Case (Bondtech)

Update: There is a new version at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1018949 Extruder case for the Bondtech drive gears. Unless you have a specific reason to use this version, most people will be better off using the design provided by Bondtech (http://www.bondtech.se/stl-files/). That one has been well tested and works. This version was made to be smaller and without the groove mount so I could quickly switch between direct drive and bowden. I'm using the following linked parts for mounting in direct drive and bowden modes. Should be printable without support if using the default part orientation. See instructions for more info. Printer: -- RigidBot Filaments: -- Hatchbox Transparent Red ABS -- Colorfabb XT-CF20 Instructions The PTFE tubing should be run all the way up to the drive gear (see picture) Uses an E3D Embedded Bowden Coupling if used as a bowden extruder. I used my printer to install the coupling: Remove the plastic part of the coupling Heat hotend to above glass transition temperature Place part under the print head, with the coupling centered under the nozzle. Lower the nozzle in 0.1mm increments until the coupling is flush with the case.
