Extruder motor w/gearbox top mount for 1515 Kossel Mini

<p>An extruder motor top mount for a 1515 Mini Kossel.<em>Snuggly</em> mounts a 17HS19-1684S-PG5 geared stepper motor. I used it to mount the extruder to the top, near the filament spool. Source available to adjust sizes. One of the days, I may turn it into a customizer. Mounts to the top slot of a 1515 bar, for those of us that didn't put enough spare nuts in the side slots for future accessories. :)</p> <h3>Print Settings</h3> <p><strong>Rafts:</strong></p> <p>Doesn't Matter</p> <p class="detail-setting supports"><strong>Supports: </strong> <div><p>Yes</p></div> <p><strong>Resolution:</strong></p> <p>0.2</p> <p class="detail-setting infill"><strong>Infill: </strong> <div><p>20</p></div> <p><strong>Notes:</strong></p> <p>I printed at 180° with Hatchbox PLA, bed heated to 70°.</p> <p>I recommend either using a slicer with easily removable support or a dual extrusion system with dissolvable support material for the mounting tab.</p> <h3>Post-Printing</h3> <p><strong>Post print</strong></p> <p>Depending on the tolerance of your printer, you may need to file just a<em>smidgen</em> from the inside of the mount cavity -- it's designed as an exact fit for the 17HS19-1684S-PG5 motor, as printed on my printer, which means any extrusion variation may require slight adjustment/relief.</p> </p></p> Category: 3D Printer Parts
