This model stand is designed to work for indoor models with a motor tube/stick width between ~1/8" and 5/16". It's based off of an original design by Cezar Banks. To make it you'll need to print 2 side pieces and 1 base pieces. You'll also need some 1/32" music wire, 3/16" dowel, 5/16" brass tube, and adhesive backed felt. To clamp the stand you just slide the small piece of brass tube up. I have mine set up so it's a light friction fit on my F1D motor tubes when unclamped. This allows me to place or remove my model from the stand with only one hand. When clamped it has a strong grasp of the model.
