Face gear and helical pinion

The pinion has been designed first using the usual helical gear design procedure. The face gear has been derivated from the pinion by the way that to a large array of flank surface points the conjugate point has been calculated. The face gear flank surface is draped over these points, therefore the face is geometrically exact, no approximation.
