Pointless?!! Why? Well, let's be honest; there's absolutely no physical need for this cover designed to fit nrp's very practical fume extractor. The extractor does a perfectly good job without any frills. Buuuuuuut... I couldn't resist it! I wanted to sleekify and bepolish it (made up words!) so that it looked more finished. 'S more perfeshunal, mate, innit? It also improves the stability of the extractor unit in the upright position. I could pretend this was why I designed it. But that would be a lie; the extra stability is an unexpected (but welcome) bonus! I know I didn't quite get the angle right with the "fins" on the smaller intake face (I might have mentioned before - once or twice - how I can't import stl files into my ancient SketchUp, despite trying a variety of plugins). But it's so close that only a complete OCD sufferer would get annoyed with it. However, if you are OCD, and you wish to tweak it, the SketchUp file is there just for you. Hippy pranting
