Fairy Music Box

Fairy Music Box

myminifactory

A music box for my daughter that plays "our" song. It's designed to mount a music box mechanism by Sankyo. Search online and you can find just about any classic tune for your music box for around $15. Test spin: Note, for the video the statue was only taped on top and the box was on an unlevel surface, so the music runs slow and fast. You'll need the optional extension shaft from your Sankyo music box to power the rotating fairy. Available here for $0.95:http://www.whittemoredurgin.com/7177-smoothshaft You'll need 2x 10mm M3 bolts to secure the music box mechanism to the base and 6x 10-15mm M3 bolts to secure the base to the outer case. The statue was remixed from pixalism's "Degas Girl" athttp://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1200209. I smoothed over the nipples and vulva and tweaked the hair, then added some wings. If you want to customize the box design, use the "Outer case blank" box file. My technique is to create a design in Inkscape, export it as a .SVG, import it into Tinkercad, make it into a hole, and subtract from the case. Finally, the upper 2 bolt holes on the inner case are somewhat misaligned. Just use the lower 2 for now.
