Flying semi scale model of the first stage of Falcon 9 block 5 rocket. Scale 1:74 The model configuration with opened grid fins simulates return of the rocket from space. But the model is flown the opposite way, from the ground to the air. Length 640 mm, diameter 50 mm. Powered by one 20 N-s model rocket motors (D6-5), apogee circa 150 m. The body tube is cardboard 50 mm diameter by Klima. Printed from PLA or ColorFabb XT-CF20. Extra weight need to be added to the nose side for flying stability. The design of the motor section and landing legs is compiled from two different models.
