Falcon 9 Cylindrical Former (Axm Paper Models)

This is a 3d printable cylindrical former designed specifically for use within the 1:100 scale paper models of the Falcon 9 rockets by AXM Paper Models. The Falcon 9 paper models do not come with formers included in the PDF file so I decided to design this plastic former which provides a rigid support meaning your model is less likely to get crushed (And will also help it to be perfectly circular) For the falcon 9 models, 4 formers should be fine to provide good rigidity to your model. They are placed as such: - 1 Former for the very top, underneath the fairing connector - 1 Former for where the interstage connects to the top of the booster - 1 Former for the bottom of the upper booster fuel tank (Below the Spacex Logo on Block 5 models or above it on older models) - Finally 1 former for the very bottom where the Octaweb connects to the booster (You can even glue the Octaweb onto the former to help make it perfectly aligned) The best way to insert these formers is to first completely assemble all of the tank pieces, glue all the tube connectors in place (Without connecting all the tubes together yet) and place the formers flush up against the connectors and apply glue. Insert the formers by turning them 90 degrees perpendicular to the top of the body tube and take advantage of the slight flex of PLA by squeezing the former slightly if it doesn't go in easily. These are designed to be a very snug/tight fit, so please take care and be patient so as not to damage your paper model! You can sand down the outer edge if necessary. These formers will only fit the paper model at the intended 1:100 SCALE. Please ensure your paper printer settings are correct when printing the paper model.
