Fallout 4 Jet Chem

Fallout 4 Jet Chem

After reviewing the selection of Jet props I found online, I wasn't happy with how they compared to the in-game design, so I decided to finally model one myself and release it here for my fellow Fallout addicts. UPDATE 1/30/18: After reviewing my own file against the in-game file, I realized the scale was way off. I've updated the shape of the model as well as added a bezel around the back button, and increased the size to match the in-game scale. As some people apparently liked the smaller file, I've left the original file present. FalloutJetChemV2 is original mini version. FalloutJetChemV4 is new full-size version. Print Settings Printer Brand: Wanhao Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 V2 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 10% Notes: Printed with supports touching build-plate only. Mouth-piece involves light bridging. A wide brim or raft will help given the tall height and narrow base. Post-Printing Sand with 80 grit, hit with a light coat of filler primer, sand with 120,second coat of filler primer, sand with 320, third coat of filler primer, light sanding 400, paint as desired, cap off with some clear. Alternatively: use a chip brush to apply a thin coat of Bondo fiberglass resin. Allow to fully dry, then sand with 80 grit sandpaper, hit with a decent coat of filler primer, sand with 320 grit, paint as desired, cap off with some matte clear. For painting I basically just brush on super cheap acrylics in a couple coats for the base colors, and then after dried the weathering is done by painting on spots of rust or thick dirt, immediately blotting most of it off with a moist paper towel, then again with a dry paper towel. Once those are done how I like, I give it a single coat of matte clear spray paint, let that fully dry, then paint the entire thing black, and immediately blotted it off same as before. After I'm happy with that I finish it off with a couple coats of the matte clear spray paint again. Honestly, though, you should play around with it; everyone has their own way of weathering, and you'll find one you like best by experimenting.
