I love playing the Fallout board game, but I hate it when the hex tiles get jostled around and the playing field gets messed up. This is problematic because over the course of the game you'll be flipping tiles a lot, and each time you flip a tile there's a good chance you'll push things out of alignment. My solution was to create a set of stackable hex tile holders that use magnets and small nubs/holes to stay properly aligned. I use 1/4in x 1/8in x 1/8in neodymium magnets glued into place, and it works quite nicely. One word of caution: MIND YOUR POLARITY! On my first three holders I accidentally glued the magnets in with their positive poles all pointing out and all negative poles pointing in; my reasoning for doing that was because I'm very, very dumb. You want to glue your magnets in using alternating polarity, as shown in the attached diagram.
