Power Armor station from Fallout 4, taken from the game files, scaled to 1/6, and reworked in Meshmixer to separate all the articulating parts and fix up a lot of details. - The file names indicate how many of each should be printed. For example, "Toe - Mirror.stl" should be printed twice, mirrored in the slicer for the left and right sides. - The parts aren't oriented for the bed; you'll need to work that out yourself. - Some parts will print best if you drop the model -0.1 to -0.5mm below the bed, after orienting in the desired print position. This is because it's based on game files that don't have perfectly flat faces. Check the preview in the slicer to make sure the first layer is what you expect. - Since this is a model that doesn't need a ton of structural integrity, I printed the pistons and articulation pins upright. - I've put 2mm alignment holes into any parts that must be glued together. Insert a 8mm length of 1.75mm filament, and the parts will line up perfectly for gluing. - You'll probably have to chase most of the articulation holes with a 7/32 (5.5mm) drill bit to get the articulation pins to fit; especially the holes in the shoulders. - I put springs from retractable ballpoint pens inside the pistons. Paints used: Rustoleum sandable filler primer; Krylon ColorMaxx in Matte Deep Gray; Krylon Fusion in Matte Sunbeam. Paint masking with liquid latex and salt. Stripes were made by cutting a stencil with a cricut, then painted with black acrylic. Protectron model is by Lilykill, find him on MMF or Patreon.
