#Update Now includes all components and support for New California Expansion! # Game Box Insert for Fallout, the Board Game This thing is a design for a game box insert for the Fallout board game from Fantasy Flight Games. The components of the organizer store the enemy tokens, factions tokens, and S.P.E.C.I.A.L. tokens in containers that move from the box to the table for simple setup and play. ## Insert Components ### Organizational Components + Tray for storing Miniatures. + Spacer for the center of the box. + Insert for storing Enemy tokens and holders + Map tile holder for all map tiles ### Minature Storage + Labeled Minature boxes: Wastelander, Vault Dweller, Super Mutant, Ghoul, and Brotherhood boxes + Labeled Minature boxes: Caravan Merchant, Enclave Deserter, Lone Gunslinger, Mr. Handy, and NCR Ranger ### Cards + Labeled Deck box for Agenda cards + Labeled Deck box for Loop Cards + Labeled Deck box for Asset Cards + Labeled Deck box for Unique Item Cards + Labeled Deck Box for Perks + Labeled Deck box for Player cards/starting items + Card tray for holding the quest cards ### Tokens + Token box for Faction, Quest markers, and player trait tokens + Lid for faction box + Token holder for Critter Enemy hex tokens + Token holder for Human Enemy hex Tokens + Token holder for Robot enemy hex tokens + Token holder for Monster enemy hex tokens + Token holder for Super-Mutant hex tokens + Box and lid for Nuka-Cola caps (1 Cap Value) + Box and lid for Nuka-Cola Quantum Caps (5 cap value) ## Fitting it all in the Box All of the stuff for the base game and the New California expansion fit neatly into the box with room to spare for future expansion. There is, however, a fair amount of stuff to print for this modular insert and some optional parts. I will Identify the stuff below that is optional. To start, take everything out of the original base game box, including the stock cardboard insert. ### Put in the Miniatures With the empty box on the table, place 1 miniature tray (optional) in the upper left and the other miniature tray (optional) below it on the left. Place the miniatures and their starting S.P.E.C.I.A.L. tokens in the corresponding labeled miniature box. In the upper miniature tray, place the Super mutant, brotherhood, ghoul, vault dweller, and wastelander miniature boxes. Below that, place the NCR expansion miniatures (if you have those). There will be space equal to roughly the size of the Brotherhood/Super-Mutant box open in each tray. ### Store Card Decks In the open space of the upper tray, place the player card deck and the unique item decks. Just to the right of that, place the asset and loot decks. Below those decks, place the perks and the agenda deck (on its side). Place the quest cards in the open space of the lower left of the box so that it fills the space left from the miniatures. Place the Scenario cards in the lower right of the box, oriented so that they are not rotated. ### Store Map Tiles Map tiles are stored in hexagonal tile holders (optional). With the NCR expansion, you will need 2 of the holders. Place one stack of map tiles in the upper right of the box, and the other (for NCR) in the lower right of the box, over the top of the scenario cards. There will be a space between these map tiles. ### Store Tokens 1. Place all the Nuka-Cola caps into the appropriate boxes, and put the lids on them. The (value 5) Nuka-Cola Quantum caps are placed in the open space of the lower miniature tray. The box is roughly the size of the Enclave deserter miniature and should fit snugly next to the NCR Ranger, Merchant, or gunslinger miniatures. Place the other Nuka-Cola caps between the two stacks of map tiles. 2. Place all of the enemy tokens into their sized boxes and place the robots, humans, super-mutants, and monster enemies into the hex insert (optional). Place those on top of the second (lower) stack of map tiles in the lower right of the box. If you don't have those, place the enemies there anyway. It's where they go. Hold on to the Critter stack, you'll need that in a bit. 3. Place all of the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. tokens into their box and put on the lid. Place the closed box right next to the card tray for the quest cards oriented so that the shorter portion of the rectangle is facing you. 4. Place all of the faction, trait, and quest marker tokens into the faction token box. place the closed box to the right of the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. tokens (in the same orientation). This box should almost touch the map tiles in the lower right of the box. 5. Place the critter tokens in their holder on the side and insert it to the right of the quest card tray above the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. token box. 6. Place the (optional) center spacer in the open space in the middle of the box to keep everything in place ### The remaining stuff Set up your player HP/RAD boards so that the pegs are in the 0 XP, 0 RAD, and 1 HP holes. Then, place the player HP/RAD boards above the miniatures, tokens, and the map tiles. One board is in the upper left corner and covering the miniatures, two boards cover the map tiles and enemy tokens, and the remaining player board covers the tokens through the center of the box (below the cards). Place manuals in the lower section of the box covering the quest cards, tokens, and map tile/enemy tokens.
