Fan connector panel mount 3 pin shrouded

Fan connector panel mount 3 pin shrouded

Added a couple aux fans to my Rostock printer, but wanted a shrouded connector so the pins don't get shorted. You can either flush mount this with a ¾" hole (consider a forstner bit for a clean edge) like I did, or a more classic raised panel mount with a 9/16" hole (which can be ragged as the lip will hide it). You just glue it in from the back in either case. Proper hi temp hot glue does more than fine. Stick the connector in from the front and it will bottom out on a lip at the back of the connector. Then stick the legs through a bit of perfboard and solder to retain. You could also just glue it in, but remember to solder wires to the pins first.
