Needed to use a 120mm fan with a smaller diameter tube (110mm). I assembled an enclosure for my 3D printer and wanted to lead the toxic exhaust out of the house. I intended benefit from... - a large fan for its power and potential of running more silent than a smaller fan - smaller diameter tubes rather than large ones catching the eye. I chose the diameter of 110mm, because here in Germany there is a wide range of 110mm tubes available for plumbing purposes. I purchased a "110mm to 50mm" adapter to then be able to use the handy "DN 50" tubes, which are fun to combine for any individual lengths and angles. The adapter I went for: Marley HTR DN 110/50 I connected a 50mm flexible tube ("Flexrohr") to add more flexibilty to the installation.
