Faster Printing Version of Creality's N95 Buckle Design
thingiverse
This is a re-design of the Creality open-source N95 mask buckle. This design eliminates 50% of total mass, reducing resource utilization and print time by up to 50% or more, potentially doubling your print output per hour. This design has been thoroughly tested and performs well at thicknesses as low as 0.5mm and as high as 1.5mm. The provided model is 1mm thick, and you can adjust this using Blender, CAD software, etc. I utilize the following settings on my CR-10S5 with a 0.4mm nozzle: 0.28mm layers, 2 walls, 1 top/bottom layer, 20% gyroid infill, 40mm/s print speed. And these settings with a 0.8mm nozzle and an E3D Volcano: 0.6mm layers, 1 wall, 1 top/bottom layer, 20% gyroid infill, 30mm/s print speed. I can print 6 in an hour and a half using the 0.4mm nozzle settings. Nylon, ABS, or PETG would likely be ideal for these designs, but PLA works fine. Hospitals and clinics may prefer them made of Nylon, ABS, or PETG exclusively due to PLA's limitations with harboring bacteria and being difficult to sanitize. If you're using these for personal use, give each person one to use individually - not to share among people. These are also intended to be disposable.
