Wanna build an FDL3 and can't get motors? These parts use the same Brotherhobby R6 2205 motors that you find in the Ultrasonic G4 Ultrastryfe build. You can choose 2450kv or 2700kv - just be aware that for the 2700's you might run less than full power. 2450kv is closer to the stock FDL speed (which if I recall is typically 2350kv). Download the R6 2205 wheel. You can also use the latest Brotherhobby R8 2208 motors for more torque. They come in the same kv ratings as the R6 2205 motor, however will start up at least 30ms faster and sound real mean. Download the R8 2208 wheel and spacer. Install the wheel on the motor, followed by the spacer, followed by the nyloc nut. This wheel is slightly tighter at 8.5mm instead of 9.0mm. You can also use Diatone Mamba 220. They come in 2650kv if you want to use 3s, or 1750kv for 4-5s. No spacer, just print the wheel. The flywheels are vented to take advantage of the R6's massive air path, and have been war tested on a 37 degree C day over about 5 hours using PLA flywheels. Imperial vs Metric: The left side is common and will take whatever the default FDL bolts are, and also M3 x 45mm socket head bolts. The right side is marked Imperial for the default FDL nut, and has no marking for an M3 nut. Short vs Long: Short nose versions are listed with the word Short in the filename. All other components are common. Long nose versions have no specific word. N.b. for Full Length blaster: The side plates are combined as one piece. I realise that this might be less than ideal for some, but I hydro-dipped mine and the additional strength doesn't hurt. Use Countersunk M3 x 8mm mounting bolts for the motors. Other Screw holes have been adapted for M3 / M4 metric fasteners.
