<h3>Feiyue FY03 MG995 Servo Mod</h3> <p>This is a vertical adapter for the Feiyue FY03 to fit a TowerPro mg995 or other servos the same size.</p> <p>You need to mark out and drill/melt 3 new holes in the base of the car to fit this new mount for your steering servo.</p> <p>I used various pc screws, the screw &amp; brass ring that come with the mg995 and 1 single washer.</p> <p>Freecad saves included.</p> <p>Things to note;</p> <p>You might need to scale or trim the steering arm hole that fits onto the ball joint of the original steering of the car. Try to keep this tight to prevent speed wobbles whilst driving.</p> <p><em>EDITS</em></p> <p>05/11/17 The steering wasn't working right with the way the servo was positioned and because the original steering arm/link was 10mm too short. So i've added a new steering arm/link model as well as its freecad save.</p> <p>14/11/17 Photos added to show parts mounted to the car. Sorry for the poor quality phone cam.</p> <p>10/12/17 Updated version which braces the servo against the front shock mounts, makes the whole steering more rigid and provides mounting points in the center of the car for future mods to be released soon (in the next few days.)</p> <p>19/12/17 New servo mount (aka v2) that better fits the shape of the floor of the car + servo brace that fits on top of the front shocks added. Updated description &amp; page title. added new photos but there's a couple more to come.
