Felix 3D Printer Filament Spool Holder and Guide

(Updated Feb. 10,'14) A thingy-in-progress! I was looking for a solution for spool placement on my DIY Felix 2.0 and realized I had enough hardware left over to make a simple post-mounted spool holder myself. It fits the standard 1kg filament spool with a 50mm diameter center hole and 75mm width just fine with slight side-to-side play to reduce friction. My first file had a flaw where the extruder would hit the holder when in the x-axis home position. This spool holder's new position has been tested with an entire 1kg spool of filament with no snags or interruptions at all. Simple and functional. If you LIKE this, click on the HEART! :) Instructions Requires only a single M4X40 (4mmX40mm) bolt and shiny metal t-slot brace that should be extra pieces in your DIY kit. Mount it at the absolute top on the outside of the wide vertical bracket as you see in the photo. The guide must be vertical. Slide the spool onto the post then simply feed it around the guide. You may have to drill the hole slightly, but my bolt threaded in fine. You may also tap the vertical post if a t-slot brace is not available.
