Real-world build of 5E3-like cabinet and chassis (chassis still WIP - waiting for parts). This effort will end with a prototype similar in appearance to a Fender 5E3 "tweed" and possibly a batch of cabinets and chassis for someone nearby. Pictured 0.25 in. finger joints (never again here) increased to 0.5 in. in file. Outwards visual appearance is that cabinet was constructed from 0.5 in. material.I'm working from someone else's physical copy of the original product and various dimensions found on the web. CNC cut from 3/4" Purebond maple plywood, solid oak, assembled with Titebond Supreme glue, pocket hole screws (speaker baffle), and will be covered (not by me) with an unknown product. The lower portions of the (CNC milled or plasma cut) steel or stainless chassis will be unlike the original due to different tube set and larger than original transformers.Clearances are NOT included in file and will be added in CAM or manually. Intentional material protrusions or interference that appear to be design errors require manual trim and/or sanding to match adjacent angle(s) and were to limit machining to 3 axis with no tool changes. Added adapters for 8 and 10 in. speakers.
