UPDATE (23 Jun 19): I've printed a lot of benchy3D boats and I have finally found what I believe are the best simplify3d settings. So I uploaded it to share (Keep in mind my G-code Scripts are an ender 3 pro running a BLtouch and vanilla marlin. UPDATE (29 May 19): I changed the DuPont 4pin (1x4) female connection for expansion (Filament sensor, etc...) to an 8pin (2x4) DuPont connector so I can add an LED ring around my camera and a filament sensor to my printer in the future. UPDATE (11 May 19): My kid flipped the power switch on the printer about halfway through printing my 09may19 update, so I decided to make one more change before I print it again. I changed the DuPont 4pin (1x4) connector hole to house a 8 pin (2x4) connector in case I want to add anything else controlled by the pie later on. Also added an arrow to the dupont access hole to indicate where pin 1 is. UPDATE (09 May 19): - The box no longer requires supports to print I included the supports. - Uploaded a mod list of all the mods my printer has installed - My Simplify 3D profile - My configuration.h and configuration_adv.h for marline vanilla bugfix 1.1.9 - - Be aware that my simplify 3D profile and configuration files are for an ender 3 with a BLtouch installed. Details: - I really liked Marvinda's "Ender 3 (Pro) - Raspberry Pi Model B+ Case for OctoPrint with Relay Control". https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3384729 - I wanted to do the same thing but mount it in the rear of the Ender3 underneath the power supply. I also wanted it to be very quiet, and control an 5V LED light strip via MOSfet module and an IR ring for a pi cam. - Print out the included Y-Axis Endstop before installing the octoprint server box or it wont fit. If you want a Pi Camera I recommend this mount: - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3426025 - I remixed it to use M3 screws here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3593230 - If you want LEDs I recommend this gantry mount: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3367976 Required Hardware: - 11x - 10mm m3 screws - 4x - 16mm m3 screws for the fan (15mm will work too) - 15x - m3 nuts Parts List: - 1x - SLA-05VDC-SL-C Relay w/ optocoupler isolation: https://tinyurl.com/yy6h9sb9 - 1x - Noctua NF-A4x10 5V (40x10mm, Brown): https://tinyurl.com/y47l23cx - - This fan is awesome it is so quiet when the printer is off u can’t hear it running. - 1x - Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+: https://tinyurl.com/y4aovng5 - 1x - Raspberry Pi Heatsink Set: https://tinyurl.com/y4d7a3dv - 4x - JST 2 Pin Connector Pairs (Male & Female): https://tinyurl.com/y5srz89z - 1x - IRF520 MOSFET Driver Module: https://tinyurl.com/y22dxb7e - 1m - 5v Led Strip: https://tinyurl.com/yxdojqn8 - - I only used 1 foot but I was glad I had extra for how many times I messed up soldering it. - 1x - LM2596 DC-DC Adjustable Step Down 3.2-46V to 1.25-35V: https://tinyurl.com/yynlo9u5 - - Be sure to adjust it to 5v with the setscrew and multimeter before you power anything from it. - 1x - 5Megapixel 1080p Sensor OV5647 Mini Camera Module: https://tinyurl.com/y2kblxbg - 1m - FFC 15pin Ribbon Cable (For Pi Cam): https://tinyurl.com/y53dxjx9 - 1x - Dupont wires Male to Female, Female to Female: https://tinyurl.com/y6krynw4 - - I used this kit: https://tinyurl.com/y2o7rm8n - 2ft - 14 GAUGE WIRE RED & BLACK: https://tinyurl.com/yykn87pt - 10ft - 22 GAUGE WIRE RED & BLACK: https://tinyurl.com/yx9mhge3 - 1x - XT60 Connector Pair (Male & Female): https://tinyurl.com/yydnug8m the "config.yaml.txt" file includes all the custom code and commands I have added to the controls tab including the LED off and LED on Commands.
