Waldmüller Monument in the Vienna City Hall Park. The seated figure of the painter Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller with pencil and sketch pad in his hand is placed on a round pedestal and is flanked by two figures from his paintings (a young woman with child). The monument from the year 1913 was made by Josef Engelhart. Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller (1793-1865) was one of the most important Austrian painters in the Biedermeier period.
