This adapter is a twist-and-lock connector to the Festool specialized vacuum port on the DF500 Domino Joiner that is sized to allow a DeWalt cordless vacuum hose end (DCV580) connect. Simple and much less expensive than the Festool vacuum solution and better than lots of duct tape to your shop vac hose. You may have a different size vac - this one requires a 32 mm tube for the DeWalt hose end (tapered) to fit into, snugly.
