I got fed up with the 15-LED adhesive strip light under the A8's headpiece casting a shadow caused by the x-axis bars and extruder carriage, just where I wanted light. I removed the strip light and added an automotive 12V 32 mm festoon LED just above bed height, mounted on the left pillar and wired through to the main board 12V and GND terminals, and bolted to the nut side of the main board's mount. No additional hardware required. Easy peasy.
