This Model is based off of the Crystal Altars from the Snes game Final Fantasy V. I had always liked the design of these Crystal Altars, so much so that when tasked to make a UDK (Unreal Engine 3) Deathmatch map in college, I decided to make a 3D model of them for use as an asset in that map.
