Filacutter Filament Cutter

Filacutter Filament Cutter

I designed a tiny device to cut Filament. Whenever I switched to a new Filament, there were already melted blobs at its tip, and I never had a knife or scissors nearby. So, I came up with this solution. The FilaCutter cuts the Filament at an angle for easier insertion into the Extruder during loading. If you want to build one yourself, all you need is the blade of a razor or carpet knife. The only requirement is that the blade be between 4cm and 4.5cm long. If it doesn't fit, try heating it up and melting it into the plunger. I've only tested the FilaCutter with PLA and TPU, but I think it should work with any material, possibly even thin ropes. P.S.: The picture shows an older version; the new one is thinner at the bottom to save material.
