Filament Guide Tube Mount for 2020 Extrusions

This is a filament guide tube mount for attaching to 2020 extrusion profile. The base, tube mount, and retainer assemble together using an M3 bolt threaded directly into the plastic. The base mounts with T-nuts to the aluminum profile, and the tube is secured to the tube holder with zip ties at the pockets supplied. The intent of a filament guide tube is to prevent the extruder from being lifted as it feeds filament off of the spool, improving print quality. With my test prints, the PTFE 4mm OD bowden tube is a tight fit, but gives a strong friction fit. Some work may be needed to clean the hole out depending on how your printer prints that feature. The larger version with a 7mm bore fits 1/4" OD PTFE tubing well.
