A removable filament guide comes equipped with a detachable clip for securing it against cables like those found on an M3D printer. The device has a separate compartment to hold a sponge for cleaning the filament as it enters the printer head. This design was heavily influenced by the model created by CJ000, which is available here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:822712. At that time of writing, however, the model presented several problems. Due to its densely packed mesh with thousands of overlapping vertices, the file size ballooned to a staggering 70MB.
