Inspired by others I have been trying to find a better way to feed the filament to my TAZ 4. To hold the bearings and the spool I opted for the design from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:235925 which was also suggested by http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:773863 However, I had some trouble with that mount when feeding brittle filaments - the extra distance from the filament tube caused more frequent breaks. So I used OnShape to design a more compact mount. The OnShape design is public at https://cad.onshape.com/documents/72cefc6fb8cf4e0eaa77627b/w/b097f666a62647f2b67e9ccf/e/e11dd2c102c64ad3b50fb66a Files updated Instructions Printed on my Lulzbot TAZ 4 in PolyMax by PolyMakr at .2mm layers, 3 shells, 25% infill. Sliced with Simplify3D The photos are of the first version and you can see there is a little splitting near the screw holes. The STL files and the OnShape CAD has been updated to add 3mm to the securing arms. You'll need 2 608zz bearings, a length of m8 threaded rod, 4 m8 nuts and 2 m8 flat washers. I used 30mm self tapping flat head screws perhaps #6 gauge?
