Filament Runout Sensor - Direct Drive

Filament Runout Sensor - Direct Drive

thingiverse

This filament runout sensor mount uses a Trainglelab filament runout sensor. It is mounted directly onto the roller carriage that comes supplied with the printermods.com roller carriage for direct drive conversions. The output from the filament sensor is lined up to the extruder goes directly into it. I am using an aluminum extruder setup, but this will work with the stock extruders as well as long as you have the printermods.com direct drive setup. This setup doesn't lose any z height, but just make sure your filament holder is mounted high if you're going to take full advantage of full z height. I print normally around 100-150mm in z height, so I mount my filament on a shelf next to the printer. To install: 4x m3 - .5x30mm screws (the screws that come with the trianglelab kit are too short to be used due to offset)
