Description This plastic part is a Filament Sensor Module for Scalar 3D printer. It allows to detect the end of filament and trigger a filament change on firmware side. Just un-comment the runout sensor section on the firmware (near line 776) Stuff needed All you need is a mechanical switch with a roller at the end such as this one:http://3dmodularsystems.com/en/electronic/74-micro-switch-end-stop-with-roller-for-3d-printers.html Wiring On ramps board you need to connect one end of the switch to the last servo pins (SERVO3_PIN).
