Filament Sensor - MakerBot Endstop Runout Switch 1.75mm

I designed this filament sensor using the MakerBot style endstop PCB because they are affordable, widely available, and frequently come with preterminated wiring. This two-part design features a base that securely locates the PCB and has sufficient thickness to clear the solder legs, while also providing adequate clearance for the switch. The top component of the design guides the filament and protects the switch from damage. The top section includes recesses that allow standard bowden tubes to be press-fit in place, making it easy to guide the filament into or out of the switch as needed. This design was created using DesignSpark Mechanical, and the RSDOC source file is included for reference.
