Filament Sensor Mount - Ender 3 E - BMG Extruder Upgrade

Update Sept 12, 2022 I have added an adapter with a filament guide. My printer seemed to need this so I made this one. It uses a 608 bearing for the filament roller. The bearing is 8 X 22 X 7mm. I needed to make this adapter to allow the mounting of the BMG dual drive extruder shown in the photo above. The extruder is clear and was purchase from Amazon. It is well built and has ball and needle bearing on all rotating parts. This adapter mounts in the location of the original Ender 3 E filament sensor location. It clears the extruder and has an offset to allow straight flow of the filament through the filament sensor and into the BMG extruder. The BMG extruder requires the e-stepper motor direction to be switched. I do this by swapping two of the plug wires. This changed direction. The other important change is the steps per mm to 415 for the BMG extruder. The only way I could do this was sending M92 E415 through a terminal and saving it with a M500. I used PLA filament to print this. 205°C hotend, 60°C bedplate. 0.2mm layer using 1.75mm filament. No supports needed and skirt was all that is needed.
