Filament Spindle Bushing and Lock Collar

thingiverse

A 1-inch wooden dowel can be outfitted with standard filament spindles using a spindle bushing and locking collar setup that ensures smooth rotation and easy feed for your MakerBot. For installation, suspend the dowel from both ends using plastic chains or attach it to a stand. Changing spools is simple: just unscrew and release one side of the locking collar. To assemble, drive a screw through each locking collar's hole to secure them in place; two bushings and two locking collars are required.
