I just bought some SUNLU filament through amzn and it's spool I.D. is 73mm. The Ender 3 series "material rack" or spool holder has a 36mm flange. This is the 'newer' design with the steel support and two-piece plastic [round tube 'n' nut] thing that holds your spool. I have an older ender with the one-piece steel holder which has a larger flange, so I'll make an adapter for that as well in the near future. The 73mm I.D. spool is the largest I've encountered yet and really looks like it could fall off. This reduction adapter will definitely prevent that and seems to lower the friction - or at least the violent chugging - as it feeds. I just started experimenting with drilling out my used .4mm nozzles to .6 and .8. I printed this with the .8 and it came out excellent without any support/brim. It did however have an issue with inner circle and bolt circle (put in to save material) interface so I resliced with inner brim only. Use the largest layer height you're comfortable with, as time is money and it doesn't affect the performance. I've made these in PLA+ and PETG, neither of which seems to have any performance effects. With my settings they take 1 hour each (you need two of them :) ) But a standard .4 nozzle shouldn't take too much longer depending on how many perimeters you set. I did a gyroid infill (later reduced to) 16% but keep in mind this is with a .8 nozzle. It came out solid as a rock. Two perimeters with a .4 will be plenty and just enough infill to make the ceiling come out rough is all that you'll need.
