The Bearing Filament Spool Support - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2545222 is a great improvement and allows the filament spool to turn freely. However, I often over tighten the outside nut, pushing the Spool End Cover into the outside bearing assembly which moves the bearing assembly inwards allowing the Spool End Cover to rub on the spool, causing excessive drag. My flanged spacer is installed between the two bearing assemblies preventing the outside Spool End Cover from rubbing on the filament spool. Sized for the filament spool size (thickness) I am using, the spacer is 33.5mm inside diameter and 36mm long. Prints as a vertical cylinder without support.
