Allows you to use (cheaper) unspooled filament with http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:18115 (PVC filament spool holder). Instructions I adjusted the hole diameter of the center to where it fits over the PVC pipe with just enough friction so it won't unravel too quickly. I used ABS and I do not know how, or if, it would work well with PLA. I may re-design this so the arms are a single piece, but this works great for now!
