The standard 0.9kg (2lb) PLA spools sold by Makerbot are larger in diameter than the old school ABS spools they used to make. This causes problems on the Makerbot Replicator 1 Dual because when you try to mount 2 spools at the same time, they get in each other's way which can be annoying to install, or sometimes one spool causes the other spool to unwind. I have finally gotten around to printing a replacement filament spool holder which will offset one of the spool holders by 2" to the side so that there is enough room to easily use 2 spools at the same time.
