I designed this insert to fit snugly into my Hatchbox brand filament spool, which I use with my printer. By reducing the diameter inside the spool, it makes a significant impact on minimizing the jerking motion that occurs when the pull on the filament overcomes inertia and triggers the spool to advance, resulting in smoother filament payout to the printer.
