Filament Spool RGB Lamp

Warning: This Design is made for Spools of german manufactorer Janbex. If you have different spools it will most likely not work and need heavy customizing/ redesigning. If you remix the Design for other Spools feel free to send me the files or upload it as a remix. The lamp uses an LED Strip. I used the cheapest 5m strip i could find on ebay. The stand is made by a company named superlux and costs about 13 euros. You will need the following parts to build the lamp: Per Spool: 2x screen_holder_01 (white), 2x screen_holder_02 (white), 1x Screen_01 (white), 1x Screen_02 (white), 1x spool_connector (black), 6x strips (black) Other Parts: 1x diffusor (white), 2x spoolHolder_bottom (black), 2x spoolHolder (black), 1x Top (black), 2x top_lightblock (black) Assembly: The Spools are held together using zip ties. You can punch holes in using a soldering iron. I did not take any pictures during the assembly, but I put in a render from fusion 360 showing how the screen holders need to be placed. Before you glue on the diffusor, make sure you have all holes sealed off with tape so no light can escape where it shouldn't. If you want more details on how the assembly is working, it is kinda similar to my spool clock i made. You can also find the exact measurements of my spools there. https://www.myminifactory.com/de/object/3d-print-filament-spool-clock-with-rgb-lighting-123026 The lamp is held on the mic stand using a pipe clamp. I don't have the model for it anymore unfortunately, but any pipe clamp should work for this. If you decide to make one of these lamps, feel free to show me the result, i love seeing what other people do with my designs. Cheers
