Filament Support for 2020

A simple filament holder attaches to 2020 aluminum using zip ties, requiring no extra parts beyond these ties. It accommodates standard-sized filament rolls up to 88mm wide and 208mm in overall diameter with at least a 30mm hole diameter. I was fed up with frequent jams caused by the side-mounted filament holder that came with my Prusa i3-based printer. So, I created this sturdy holder. Its strength is so impressive that I'd even remove more material from its support if I revised the design in the future. Also note that the example shown in the above photos was printed upside down. It fits neatly into my printer's frame. Leave a comment or message me to let me know how yours fits, and I'll use this information to calibrate my printer's accuracy and refine future designs. Post-Printing This part is designed to attach to the extruded aluminum using the longer common cable ties (20cm long).
