Filament Top Storage - Deflection Setup for a Box
thingiverse
You frequently change filament, don't you? You're likely using a multimaterial printer. Do you have ample space above your Printer compared to around it or behind it? This design is specifically designed to address these issues. I've installed five spools on top of a box3d enclosure using Prusa's spool holders. Any spool holder (for example, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2047554) will work just as well above your printer. The deflection mounts utilize 4mm ptfe tube. This design is silent, effortless to install and remove, the filament doesn't get tangled up, and it's a breeze to set up. Update 19/07/16 During maintenance of my printer, I had to remove the box several times. Each time, I had to take off the PTFE Tubes from the Deflection Mount Bottom because they were attached to the box. Consequently, I separated them into two parts that are easy to un/mount and can be secured with a M3x20screw and a square nut from the MK3 assembly kit.
