WORK IN PROGESS This is my attempt to replicate flipper's filament width sensor but with a TSL1402R sensor, a Mega board and a big display :) Video: http://youtu.be/qB5h6nYoD0Q The case is pretty much inspired by flipper's design, with the exception of the hinge. This is very useful if you want to use the sensor for making filament as it can be opened and prevent jams when extruded filament is too thick. Connections should be straightforward and are outlined in the code. No smd soldering tools are required. The sensor is read 4 times per second. The code doesn't smooth readings, therefore it is very sensible. By looking at the shape of the trail is shaggy you can tell if the filament is regular, has bubbles or even little imperfections. I have samples of my own filament to give away for the cost of shipment, contact me via private message if you're interested. Update 22/2/2015: I updated the arduino code and uploaded a processing sketch useful for debugging
