The Fellow Stagg X is a very capable pourover dripper. Its steep, insulated dual-walled design can make tasty coffee. Because of its design, it is possible to brew this dripper as essentially no bypass and increase extraction. It is a manual process to press out the pleats of the filter. And to mitigate clogging with no-bypass brewing, some use a dispersion screen to keep the filter from contacting the bottom of the dripper. The Fellow Stagg Filter Smoosher (FS) speeds up the process in several ways. First it automates smoothing of the pleats and combines it with the wetting step to stick the filter to the dripper. It also seats the filter ~1 cm above the bottom of the dripper so that a dispersion screen is not required. And this also allows you to use several kinds of filters, including Stagg X filters, Kalita Wave filters, and 8-12 cup filter basket filters.
