<p>I wanted something other than what was out there already.</p> <p>It hooks over the tabs for the gimbal mount in the upper fuselage and fits with minor tension between the lower rear gimbal rubber mounts.</p> <p>Easy install: squeeze the sides, set in place, slide it back, release.</p> <p>It wasn't designed to trap the gimbal: it's just a cover, but it does restrict gimbal movement when in place.</p> <p>The text plate was done separately for easier overall printing.</p> <h3>Print Settings</h3> <p><strong>Printer:</strong></p> <p>My Mi3</p> <p class="detail-setting rafts"><strong>Rafts: </strong> <div><p>No</p></div> <p><strong>Supports:</strong></p> <p>Doesn't Matter</p> <p class="detail-setting resolution"><strong>Resolution: </strong> <div><p>0.15</p></div> <p><strong>Infill:</strong></p> <p>25%</p> <p><strong>Filament:</strong></p> eSun is what I used PLA+ <p>White, duh. :-)</p> <p><br/> <p class="detail-setting notes"><strong>Notes: </strong></p> </p><div><p>Cover.<br/> The cover can be printed in any orientation you prefer. <p>The one illustrated was printed with the text plate void pointing up, with Support Line Distance at 10mm and Support Z--Distance at .25mm.</p> <p>I did print it face down, but that required cleaning out support afterwards, and made the face too shiny for my liking.</p> <p>Text Plate.</p> <p>If slicing in Cura at .15 Resolution, insert an M600 before Layer 6 to change your filament color for the text plate.</p> </p></div></p></p> Category: R/C Vehicles
