Fin-mounted Fan Duct

Fin-mounted Fan Duct

thingiverse

This fan duct customizer creates a fan duct meant to mount on a hotend that has cooling fins, using the fins to hold the duct in place. It bears some improvement, but works well in testing. The fins on all-metal hotends with a small heat break tend to stay very cool at typical printing temperatures, so there's no issue printing this duct in PLA, but hardier materials like ABS may be better for some applications. Print Settings Printer: MakerArm Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 100% Notes: This should print with ease on a well-calibrated machine. Watch out for all the usual pitfalls. Better to go for over extrusion and then dial back. A thin wall can work well, especially with supports.
