Finderscope Extender

Finderscope Extender

I built this because I was finding that particularly at certain angles (pointing straight up for example), there was not enough room between telescope and finderscope to be able to get my eye to it properly, and an inch or two taller helps a lot. Also since I'm into astrophotography and have a guidescope mounted on top of my main scope which peers through between the focuser tube and the finderscope, that putting in a 15 degree tilt to the extender gives the guidescope a lot more viewing room. Fits any regular finderscope and shoe, the holes are slightly tapered and should allow a couple of M4 screws to self-tap and hold firmly. This exact configuration probably only applies to my particular set-up, so I've included the sketchup file in case you want to adapt it to yours. Normal printing, normal infill (though you probably want it to be reasonably firm). There is a small bridge for the notch at the back, so up to you whether you print support material for that bit or not.
