This is a fine adjustment ring meant to help make easy adjustments for focus pulling or zooming. It is designed for a Nikon 35mm DX Lens with a focus ring of 2.73in. in diameter. To hold the focus ring in place, I've designed it to use a small rubber band or tie for ease of use. it holds pretty tight so you should have no slipping when in use.
