The mounting clips that come with this light don't really secure the light to the tank very well and I've had a couple of scares with the light nearly getting knocked into the tank as a result. This slips over the factory mounting clip and hooks below the trim on the outside of the tank. The light can still be slid horizontally as needed, but the retention clip prevents it from lifting vertically (and potentially coming back down into the water)! Dimensioned to hook onto an Aqueon 40G tank. I was able to get mine through printed with PETG, but it's possible you may find that they need to be bored out slightly.
